I ask for the truth

I ask for the truth.

It’s a simple but hard lesson to understand. We… tend to stay in contact with those who just drive us madly crazy- in the insane way- as well.

Why do we do this? It’s pointless, and there’s no benefit anyway.

  1. I totally agree with you. I know that there’s something inside me that feels like I need to know how my mother is doing, but in truth I am so much better off not talking to her.

    • Oooh I take it that there’s a misunderstanding or bad blood between you two. As my dad says, time will tell. Eventually you’ll hear something from her or about her later on. Best wishes hon!

  2. Lol…I have quit talking to her except for occasions when it’s absolutely necessary. Yes, there is very bad blood. We were discussing an incident when my father broke a bat on my back, and I was finally removed from my home. She actually said he couldn’t have broken a bat on my back, mind you she was standing there when it happened. I said that CPS doesn’t normally remove a former CPS worker (my mom a yr earlier) & a retired cops kid from their custody. She started to speak & I said no, you always tell my to say how I completely feel. You’re going to be quiet & listen. I said a pleasant Fuck You, and hung up the phone.

    • Wow… No offense, but your mother sounds like one of those over-controlling types, with no disregard to your well-being, but to cover her ass and probably your father’s too. I don’t blame you for wanting to stay away from that environment, hon. (O .O)
